Founded in 1985 by sign industry veteran George Jeakle, National Illumination & Sign Corporation has been a trusted, family-owned Ohio sign company for decades. Running National out of his own home in Holland, Ohio for the first 15 years, George relied on his extensive industry network and client relationships to build National from the ground up. His attention to detail and dedication to providing superior service were the pillars of his early success.
In 2000, George’s son, Neil, decided to join the family business, bringing his experience in mechanical engineering technologies with him to expand their signage capabilities and bring in new ideas.
Neil believes that the partnership between him and his father combined first-generation industry experience and grit with second-generation education and fresh perspectives. This blend allowed National to flourish. National quickly tripled work volume, expanded our services, and moved into a significantly larger facility, which is where we are today.
